Oath Taking of the new General Manager of KCWD



KCWD, a politically independent Government Owned and Controlled Corporation (GOCC) is run by a General Manager who is tasked to preside over matters and enact corporate governance of the entire organization with the aid of its management.

By virtue of Resolution No. 43, Series of 2013, a new manager was appointed to replace former GM Aquiles M. Zayco who was set to retire in January 2014 after ten years of service.



GM Ricardo M. Regalia, Jr. took his Oath of Office before Demetrio Miguel D. Ruiz, Chairman of the KCWD Board of Directors. Also in attendance during the ceremonies were other members of the Board and the Kabankalan City Officials led by City Mayor Isidro P. Zayco.

Engineer Ricardo M. Regalia, Jr. was a former Liga ng mga Barangay President and three-term Member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Kabankalan. During his incumbency in the City Council, he chaired the Committees on Agriculture and Cooperatives, Livelihood and Special Projects and Transportation and Communication

The Swearing-in of the new Manager took place on January 2014 at the Kabankalan City Water District Office. The oath was administered by Mr. Demetrio Miguel D. Ruiz – Chairman of the Board of Directors. The presence of City Mayor Hon. Isidro P. Zayco, Vice Mayor Hon. Delia O. Anacan and the members of the City Council made the occasion more significant and note-worthy.

Engr. Regalia, together with the hardworking employees of KCWD promises to uphold its mission and core values by delivering safe, abundant, potable and affordable water supply for its growing population. Furthermore, KCWD envisions to become one of the best performing water districts in the Province of Negros Occidental.
